The MIT Alternative Spring Break program is dedicated to helping communities across the country by making service opportunities more accessible to MIT undergraduates. Students participate in community service trips across the country during the week of spring break. We partner with a number of nonprofit organizations in order to incorporate our work with existing service structures that will continue to operate on the long-term. Our trips address a variety of issues so that applicants can work on a project that they are passionate about. Our ultimate goal is two-fold: to make a positive impact on the communities, and to inspire students to continue to get involved in service and enact greater change in these areas in the future.
